I admire nice stuff. Who doesn't? Haha! Really, an item need not be expensive for it to catch my attention. What's important is it's nice, useful and good in quality. Be it a bag, shoes, clothing, jewelry, gadget or decoration. I like it when stuff go well together especially in terms of color. It has nothing much to do with fashion but on how the overall look is pleasing to the eye. On whether "shoes and bag" instead of "top and bag" should match rule, i choose the former. On clothes, the cut of the neckline and sleeves matter. I like it better if there's something that adds some spice to the outfit. Dark colors are a no-no except for certain occasions that would call for it. For jewelry, either gold or silver is good. It depends on the usage though. And it does look a lot better with stones (especially diamonds) in it. ;) I'm not a fan of fake ones as it more often than not tarnishes and irritates the skin. But earrings that are good to wear daily or for any occasion are exceptions to that. Why am I talking about all of this? Cause it made me question myself on what my preferences are and what I do and don't like in some aspects. :)

The Catholic Faith
Some of the greatest Christians around are Protestants. Their faith in Jesus is truly amazing. Their love of scripture is something that all Catholics need to emulate. However, some of their attacks on the Catholic Church are just plain wrong. This article hopes to answer some of these attacks with some Catholic "quick hits", from the Bible.
“Catholic Church Tradition is not of God. Only the Bible alone is inspired.”
The New Testament speaks of a rock that followed the Israelites in the desert (1 Corinthians 10:4), “Moses’ seat” (Matthew 23:2), Jannes and Jambres opposing Moses (2 Timothy 3:8), the prophecy that the savior shall be called a Nazarene (Matthew 2:23), and the dispute over Moses’ body (Jude 1:9). Please show me in the Old Testament where these things are. If you can’t, then these things are an example of Tradition being used in the New Testament. The New Testament also says that The Church is the pillar and bulwark of Truth, not scripture alone (1Timothy 3:15). Paul says to hold fast to the Traditions he taught, either in writing or by word of mouth (2 Thessalonians 2:15). The Bible says that Christ is The Head of His Church (Ephesians 5:23), so by attacking His Church, just like Saul did, you are attacking Jesus Himself (Acts 9:4). If Sacred Tradition (what all generations of the Church have taught) is ignored, then the alternative is that heretical popular doctrines of the day, like homosexual marriage, cloning, abortion on demand, embryonic stem cell research, etc., will start to be accepted by pastors and churches who want to be called modernistic, and who don't want to offend the popular culture. This can currently be seen in the Anglican and Episcopalean Churches, as well as some other protestant churches. These formerly evil things become part of their church doctrine by a simple majority vote of the delegates to their conventions. Vice should never become virtue by popular vote. Isaiah 5:20 says "woe to them who call evil good and good evil." When Tradition is not present in a church, this is exactly what happens, and is happening now before our very eyes.
“Good Works have nothing to do with getting into heaven. Faith alone is what gets you into heaven.”

Viva Pit Señor!
The image of Sto. Niño is a reminder of how our Lord Jesus Christ has once taken the form of a person like us and lived with us here on earth to save us from sins. People are not worshipping the image, but God. And it is the faith and belief that God has worked His miracles through time that make the devotees thankful and consistent in doing good deeds as Christians.
As we celebrate the feast, let us not forget to thank God for all the blessings and miracles. And that a world of prayer is a world of peace as we pray together for togetherness. Viva Pit Señor!
Barely Saving
Just awhile back, I kept up-to-date with my expenses for this month's first half. To my dismay, the amount I spent for the last 15 days exceeded my total pay thereby also eating on my small business' earnings which almost always become a sacrifice to unexpected payables. As it is part of the things I hope to accomplish this year, I am keeping track of my spending. With what I have found out in how I am doing spending-saving wise so far, I realized that listing down all upcoming expenses can really help as guide to at least minimize the chances of spending more than what you are earning. And that's what I'm set and won't forget to do in the next days, and months for that matter. Despite the fact that I'm barely saving nowadays (although not primarily personal but on house bills and expenses), I thank God for all the blessings He constantly provides.

Random Questions
Have you experienced feeling so down in spirit that you end up tired and restless? Do you realize how true it is that today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday? Is length of time enough investment? Will planning do more harm than good? Does it put your health at risk when you worry and think too much about things which you don't have control over? Do you prefer to have alot of acquaintances yet you don't have true friends? Are you sharing the joy when your friend is happy and successful in his life? Can old friendship be rekindled despite the storm that it has gone through? Can you help not to expect when you feel it should have been the right thing done? Would you rather be honest and look bad? Are differences enough reason for hindrance? Can you stay in exactly the same spot for hours just looking at the view from the top? Does it make you smile when you listen to the birds chirping loudly to your ears? What are your considerations when you're about to buy something? Do you care about what other people would say rather than what you would yourself? Will you sing your heart out and laugh so loud as if noone else is there to point it out to you? What is the most important thing to you? Would you sulk all day or do your best to cheer up with all your might?

My Favorite Blueberry
I've always been a music-lover. Listening to music lifts my spirit and soothes me. I love to sing as well. That's why when my old headphones (Godsend's gift to me three birthdays have passed) finally decided to retire, getting a new one was among my wishlist for Christmas. I liked the way i can fold it before for easy keeping and that it has served its purpose well. Anyway, yesterday I got a new pair of ear headphones! Surprise, surprise! I didn't expect that it will be given to me as a gift, i'm so happy! Love it alot! And I'll definitely use it whenever i can, like now. ;) Thank you, my Godsend JP! :)

New Year. New Hopes.
Some people may smirk seeing how other people openly discuss their New Year's resolution but I don't. It may be something that we are used to every year but it does help those who have the motivation to do what they set their mind into.
Hmm, here's a list of what I hope to accomplish this year:
- daily accounting of my expenses (except for those teeny-weeny spendings which are most likely just a waste of my pen's ink)
- exercise regularly in early mornings
- lessen the habit of eating in-between meals (i don't think totally quitting on this will help; it's not good to deprive one's self, eh? and otherwise i would then tend to eat more.)
- help more with the household chores
- organize docs and other stuff at home
- catch up on the books i have which i wasn't able to find the time to read yet and the movies left unwatched
What about you? How do you plan to improve yourself this year?
Impulse blogging
Today, I decided to create my own blog. There really is nothing special about this day. However, just out of the blue I realized that it's good to have a container of any random thoughts that may pop out of my head. Experiences, fun and adventures, realizations... memories to live by.
