When you think about the future, you associate it to something promising and the unknown. It is with that fact that you can't help but wonder how you will become then. Yes, you have your goals and plans, who doesn't? Only the deranged maybe. But are you doing something to achieve those goals? Do you just let the years pass by living each day at a time without thinking and saving something for what's to come? Indeed, only God knows what the future holds yet it's also determined by how you are living the present.
If you are single now and thinking of having a family years later but you only think without doing what you must to make it happen, do you still assume that if God wills it then it'll come true? Perhaps it will but struggle comes in because of the absence of preparation and setting priorities. How about the saying "Do your best and God will do the rest"? If you don't do your part, then where does the rest of it come in?
Nobody wants to live in poverty when you have the strength and will to do things that will improve your life. It's not about saying that being poor is wrong. Not when that's all you can be even after all the hard work you've put in. But if you can be successful with the talents you are endowed with and can live simply without worrying too much about dipping finances, then do it.
